Jeff and Matt Hardy vs. Cesaro & Sheamus for the WWE Tag Team Championship: WWE Payback 2017 Winner, Video Highlights and Analysis
Will the tag team champs retain
Among waves of ‘Delete chants’, Cesaro and Matt started things off with Cesaro going for the quick pin. Matt tagged his brother in after an arm lock and a few rights. The Hardyz looked like they wanted to end things quick tonight with a huge poetry in motion.
Despite the champs having initial momentum, Cesaro finally managed to tag Sheamus in just in time to clear house and re-tag his partner back in. After the challengers regained a bit of momentum Jeff is tagged in and he established dominance immediately with an atomic drop and a drop kick. The Irishman, however, swung things back in his team's favour by flinging Jeff out of the ring.
Following another spell of domination from the challengers, Sheamus took to the top ropes and found Jeff with a heavy knee. Jeff struggled to find his brother but was greeted with a giant kick to the jaw instead.
Cesaro is then tagged in as the duo keeps Jeff in their corner following a gigantic leg drop from the Swiss star. Cesaro and Sheamus then double-teamed until Jeff found his way to the top rope and pulled off a desperation dive to take out both of his opponents and create enough space to tag his brother in.
Matt entered the ring and cleared house by slamming Cesaro’s head to a sea of delete chants and a running bulldog. A Twist of Fate on Cesaro, however, was not enough to put Cesaro away as Sheamus came to his rescue.

After a bit of back and forth, Cesaro finally took Matt for a ride with the Cesaro swing followed by the sharpshooter. However, Matt found the bottom rope just in time. Cesaro then took Matt to his corner and landed a huge Swiss Supercut, followed by which Sheamus plants his opponent to the mat with a Geat White from the top rope.
Jeff saved his brother in the consequent cover but the challengers still had control. Matt finally went for the Twist of Fate but Jeff tagged himself in as Sheamus countered with a huge slam. Sheamus went for the cover but the legal man Jeff plants a Swanton Bomb to retain their titles.
The Hardy Boyz retain their titles.
As the brother celebrated their victory they are ambushed by their challengers. Both brothers receive Brogue kicks as the challengers limp down the ramp with smiles on their faces.
