News: Nikki Bella gets emotional as fiancee John Cena gushes over wedding plans
Nikki Bella got a bit emotional as John Cena spoke about their upcoming wedding.

WWE Superstars John Cena and Nikki Bella were in New York City this Thursday for the premiere of Cena’s new movie The Wall that is scheduled to release on May 12th. ET caught up with the Leader of the Cenation and ‘Fearless’ Nikki and the former opened up about the plans for their upcoming wedding.
In case you didn’t know...
Following their victory in a mixed-gender tag team match at Wrestlemania 33 over The Miz and Maryse, Cena proposed to Bella in front of the 75,000+ fans at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, to which Nikki said yes. Bella has temporarily stepped away from the ring for now, whereas John will be busy with his Hollywood obligations until June 9th.
The heart of the matter
The 40-year old WWE icon gushed about his wedding plans at the movie premiere. Here are a few excerpts from his statements-
"I guess it can be summed up by just saying I had the balls to do it…I just wanna make sure that it's a good day," he noted. "We've made our lives very public, and I think the world knows that it's been a lot to just get to that proposal moment. I want (Nikki) to be as happy as she was at that moment."
Cena reiterated that he had to retell Nikki everything he said as the 33-year old former Divas champion couldn’t process the overwhelming proposal on the grandest stage of them all.
Bella was reportedly very emotional upon hearing her husband-to-be speak about their engagement and relationship and she chimed in by simply saying that she considers herself very lucky. Earlier this month, talking to ET at the Romona Keveza bridal show in NYC, ‘Fearless’ Nikki also revealed the ideal scenario for their wedding. Here’s what she said-
"I want like, (a) medium (wedding). I envision, like, a 150 people, 'cause I still want to keep it very private and intimate, and my side of the family makes it like 150," she shared. "I want black tie. I just love the elegance of black-tie, and depending on what season we get married, (there) will be, like, florals. Like, I'm going to have a lot of florals, so I don't know how much they'll cost, but I hear they cost a lot. But I don't care. I want it to be drenched with flowers."
What’s next?
John Cena will return to the squared-circle in a few months, whereas Nikki Bella’s future as an in-ring performer remains uncertain. Nevertheless, fans can still catch the former Divas champ on the E! reality show Total Divas.
