Becky Lynch vs. Natalya has been officially announced for tonight. Apart from the women's match, Dolph Ziggler will confront Shinsuke Nakamura while Randy Orton will be returning for a segment with Jinder Mahal.

After an eventful Monday Night RAW, the onus will be on the blue brand to thrill the WWE Universe at the O2 Arena in London. Smackdown LIVE has slowly been building up to their upcoming pay per view Backlash.
The pay per view is unique in the sense that it will feature the first televised match of Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster. Other rivalries heading into the event are between AJ Styles and the United States Champion, Kevin Owens, and upstart Jinder Mahal squaring off against WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Some of the intriguing points of tonight’s show are as follows:
#1 The Viper Returns
Randy Orton will be making his first appearance since Jinder Mahal cost his the “House of Horrors” match at WWE Payback. The harrowing experience of the match may have dented the WWE Champion and the shenanigans of the Singh brothers and Jinder did not help the cause.
Orton was visibly absent from last week’s proceeding with not a whisper of his whereabouts. The Viper’s return could spell danger for the Maharaja as he will have retribution on his mind. Given the sort of wily customer that Jinder is, Randy may run the risk of being ambushed. Sparks will fly as the two men may not wait till Backlash to throw down in the ring.
#2 Natalya takes on the Irish Lass Kicker
Becky Lynch took the trio of Carmella, Natalya, and Tamina for a ride when she managed to convince them that she was a part of their stable. ‘The Welcoming Committee’ were taking apart Charlotte and Naomi when Becky rushed to the ring and restored some order to the proceedings.
Using James Ellsworth as a weapon, she hurled him at the trio and started pummelling her way through the three women. However, the numbers game caught up with Becky and soon enough, she met with the same fate as Charlotte Flair and Naomi.
A one-on- one match is slated for tonight’s show where Becky will square off against Natalya. However, with the rest of ‘The Welcoming Committee’ on the prowl, the match will be far from a fair contest.
#3 The Showoff meets the Artist
Dolph Ziggler has not taken too kindly to the fanfare surrounding the arrival of Shinsuke Nakamura to Smackdown LIVE. Ziggler has often gone on to ridicule Nakamura and tried to shut down the King of Strong Style. However, Ziggler has got a first-hand taste of Nakamura’s offensive.
The frustrated Ziggler has vowed to call out Shinsuke Nakamura and confront him in front of a packed London crowd. These two men come face-to- face once again on tonight’s show.
#4 The Usos set the record straight with the ‘Fashion Police’
Last week, the team of Tyler Breeze and Fandango kicked off the campaign for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships on the first episode of the Fashion Files. The booked the Usos on grounds of a number of crimes including identity theft, Jey-walking (and Jimmy walking), as well as visual assault. The Fashion Police have claimed to bust the heist on 21 May at WWE Backlash.
However, they may be in store for a rude awakening as the Usos are not ones to mess around with. Since adopting their heel persona, the Usos have been vicious in the ring and laid down their opponents with surgical precision. The Usos might spoil the party for Breeze and Fandango and decide to make them pay for all the fun and games.
#5 Kevin Owens reclaims his place as the New Face of America
It was all but a graceful send-off for Chris Jericho last week as Kevin Owens managed to regain the United States Championship in the WWE Payback rematch. After a ferocious battle, Owens emerged on top after he laid out Jericho with the Pop-up Powerbomb. The Prizefighter continued to assault his former best friend after the match. The attack became difficult to watch as Owens lodged a steel chair on Jericho’s throat and rammed him against a steel post.
Now with Jericho out of the picture, Owens will look to settle the score with AJ Styles – a man who attacked him last week. Styles is the number one contender for the US Championship and the match is set for WWE Backlash.
