From the WWE Rumor mill: New Day to arrive on SmackDown by June
The power of 'Positivity' is on its way.
What’s the story?
According to rumours from Cageside Seats, the New Day is scheduled to return to the WWE and arrive on SmackDown Live by early June. This is exciting news for the WWE Universe.
In case you didn’t know...
The New Day have yet to make their debut on SmackDown Live mainly due to the knee injury of Kofi Kingston. However, the pair of Kingston and Big E were seen recently on a cricket talk show called Extraaa Innings T20 in India.
The heart of the matter
The New Day have not been seen on RAW since they lost to the Revival and they haven’t made their debut on SmackDown Live since the Superstar shakeup. This was mainly due to Kofi’s knee injury and Xavier Woods’ commitment to his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown.
However, according to rumours from Cageside Seats, the trio will be ready to bring the power of positivity to the blue brand by early June at the latest. This comes as a huge boost not just to the WWE Universe, but to the promotion as well.
This is mainly due to the fact that the trio is one of the most popular groups in the WWE today and are extremely influential when it comes to getting a crowd going (as seen in WrestleMania 33).
So it would be really great if the power of positivity returned home to the WWE and its fans as soon as possible, maybe even before June.
What’s next?
The big question is what SmackDown Live plan to do with The New Day. They could put them up in the Tag team division and have them challenge the Usos for the title, or they could just use them for promotion purposes in order to boost their ratings. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how their time on the blue brand will pan out.
Author’s take
If the rumours are true and The New Day will be back in June, then I for one am ready to ‘feel the power’. I am positively excited at the mere thought of their return and what potential their presence could bring to SmackDown Live.
